Bulgaria launched the campaign “Let’s Plant a Tree”.

On March 20 the Bulgarian MPs Club launched the campaign “Let’s Plant a Tree”.

Environment Committee chairman Georgi Bozhinov said that Bulgaria currently has 50 million saplings, which are to be planted.

The initiative organisers are the Parliamentary Environment and Waters Committee, Ministry of Environment and Water Affairs, and the State Forestry Agency.

Bulgaria's first cosmonaut Georgi Ivanov and folk-singer Valya Balkanska, together with MPs, started the planting of the trees in the garden in front of the parliament building in Sofia on March 20, Zagrada.bg reported.
